Like the little boy said in the old joke, when you see a pile of manure, there’s got to be a pony close by.
If we get in the habit of looking for the pony whenever life dumps a pile of manure in our paths, we will have increased energy, enthusiasm and resilience, even before we find it.
It’s true that the “ponies” in life are sometimes hard to find. Without a deliberate effort we will surely miss most of them.
Looking for the pony can turn setbacks into opportunities.
